US stainless producers reduce alloy surcharge for April

It's reported that the major stainless producers in the US, including AK Steel, Allegheny Technologies Inc and North American Stainless have announced to cut alloy surcharges for April.

The average alloy surcharges for 304 grade coils for April dropped to US$0.77/lb. from US$0.81/lb. for March. Also, the alloy surcharges for 316 grades decreased to US$1.08/lb. from US$1.14/lb.

Meanwhile, the April alloy surcharges for 430 grade averaged at US$0.23/lb., up slightly from US$0.22/lb. for March.
