Ukraine’s crude steel output may fall in May

It's predicted that Ukraine's crude steel output would be at around 2.75 million tons in May, falling by 4.2% compared to March, according to the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom.

In addition, the country's output of pig iron is estimated at around 2.52 million tons in May, up by 0.2% and that of rolled steel products is predicted at 2.5 million tons, decreasing by 2.3%, both compared to the figures in March.

In April, Ukrainian companies' output of crude steel totaled 2.62 million tons; that of pig iron was at 2.34 million tons and that of rolled steel was at 2.38 million tons.
