According to data released by the US International Trade Commission (US ITC), the US scrap exports totaled 11.12 million tons in the first seven months of this year, decreasing by 15.8% year on year.
In the given period of time, Turkey was the largest importer of the US scraps with 3.09 million tons, decreasing by 20.85%; Taiwan was the second largest one with 1.8 million tons, falling by 15.42%, both compared to those in the same period of a year ago.
In July alone, the country's scrap exports totaled 1.2 million tons, falling by 14.3% from a month ago and slumping by 38% year on year.
