The Korean steelmaker Hyundai Steel purchased the H2 scraps and Shindachi scraps with prices of ¥32,500~¥36,800/ton FOB from Japan.
It's learned that Hyundai Steel's purchasing prices of the Japanese H2 scrap dropped by ¥500/ton.
Also, it is the first time that Hyundai Steel cuts purchasing prices of the Japanese H2 scraps since the third week of June.
However, industry sources said that Hyundai Steel's price cut it H2 scrap purchasing prices will not affect the Japanese scrap market.
