Reportedly, the US scrap export quotes to Taiwan are at US$362/ton CFR this week, remaining flat from a week ago.

However, it's predicted that the actual selling prices would rise by US$2/ton from a week ago to US$360/ton CFR.

It's learned that the international scrap prices started to rise from early October and the total price rise has reached US$15/ton.

Industry sources said that the price rise was boosted by shortage in winter. The buyers from Korea and Turkey have increased purchases for stockpiles.
