According to data released by the Korean Iron & Steel Association (KOSA), Korea's imports of stainless hot rolled coils (HRC) totaled 35,211 tons in September, rising by 7.8% from a month ago and increasing by 18.6% year on year.
The import prices of stainless HRC averaged at US$2,057/ton in September, rising by US$23/ton from the previous month.
In September, China was the largest stainless HRC exporter to Korea with 13,849 tons; Japan was the second largest one with 7,466 tons and Europe was the third largest one with 5,028 tons.
