According to data released by Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), the country's industrial production index rose by 1.6% year on year but falling by 3.5% from a month ago in September.
However, the seasonally adjusted industrial production index rose by 0.12% year on year in September.
The country's seasonally adjusted industrial production index was up by 0.5% year on year in the first nine months of this year.
In September, the industrial output in Taiwan's basic metal manufacturing rose by 10% and that in metal product manufacturing was up by 0.7%, both compared to the figures in the same month of 2012.
