According to the data released by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), in January to May of this year, China's rail coal shipments had totaled 922.63 million t, increasing by 13.4% or 109.19 million t year on year. Meanwhile China's power coal shipments also came to 656.04 million t, rising by 16.8% or 94.13 million t year over year.
On the other hand, in May alone China's railway shipments for coal had amounted to 186.13 million t, rising by 11% or 18.47 million t. While China's power coal shipments stood at129.22 million t in the given period, surging by 12.4% or 14.22 million t year over year.
