According to the data released by CISA (China Iron and Steel Association), Chinese registered steelmakers contributed a daily crude steel output of 1.4546 million metric tons in late December. Meanwhile, Chinese average daily crude steel output was estimated to stand at 1.6264 million metric tons in late December, down by 2.38% versus middle December.
Looking at the steel production in December as a whole, the daily crude steel output in this month had dipped by 0.5% from the level of 1.6627 million metric tons in November to 1.65.44 million metric tons.
During this dull season, steelmakers have curtailed their production substantially but the production may inch up gradually after the Spring Festival Holidays.
