According to the data released by China Customs recently, in January to December of 2011, Chinese coke export value aggregated to $1.487 billion, registering a year-on-year increase of 7.1%. During the given period, Chinese overall coke and semi-finished coke exports amounted to 3.3 million metric tons, droping by 1.4% year over year. While in December alone, Chinese coke and semi-finished coke exports stood at 0.1 million metric tons, up 11.12% month over month.
Meanwhile, in January to December of 2011, the Chinese overall coal exports decreased by 22.97% to 14.66 million metric tons with the export average price of $185.32 per ton, up by 29.8% from $142.77 per ton. And the coal export value reached $2.717 billion, swelling by 20.6% from $2.253 billion in 2010.
At the same time, in December of 2011, the domestic coal exports reached 0.8 million metric tons, declining by 0.14 million metric tons or 14.9% from 0.94 million metric tons in November.
