Sources learned from the regional government that ten coal mine projects in northern China's Inner Mongolia completed construction and came on stream in the first half of the year.

These coal mines, whose construction cost a total of CNY 2.328 billion, have a combined annual production capacity of 11.4 million tonnes (MT). Of that, four projects are open pit mines with annual capacity of 3.6 MT in total while the rest six are underground mines.

These mines are geographically distributed as follows:

One in Hulunbuir, with an annual output capacity of 3 MT

One in Xilingol, 1.2 MT

One in Hohhot, 0.6 MT

Six in Ordos, totaling 4.8 MT

One in Alxa League at 1.8 MT per year

Among them, only one was newly constructed with capacity of 1.2 MT per annum, eight technically innovated with capacity totaling 7.2 MT and one industrial upgrading of 3.0 MT.
