The major steelmakers in China produced 1.5195 million tons of crude steel in the last 10 days of October, falling by 5.39% from the previous 10 days, according to statistics released by China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

Accordingly, the country's total crude steel output in the last 10 days of October is predicted to decrease by 3.67% from 10 days ago to 1.9257 million tons.

Industry sources said that the dropped crude steel output was caused by weak demand from downstream users.
