China’s stainless crude steel output up 9.41 percent in Jan-Sept

According to the figures released by the China Special Steel Enterprises Association (SSEA), in the January-September period of this year the aggregate stainless crude steel output in China totaled 11.407 million mt, up 981,100 mt or 9.41 percent year on year.  

In particular, in the given period, Cr-Ni stainless crude steel output in China reached 5.692 million mt, up 153,000 mt or 2.76 percent on year-on-year basis. Cr-Mn stainless crude steel output in China amounted to 3.3986 million mt, up 682,200 mt or 25.11 percent year on year. Meanwhile, China's Cr stainless crude steel output totaled 2.3166 million mt, up 145,900 mt or 6.72 percent year on year.   In the January-September period, China imported 610,000 mt of stainless steel, down 60,000 mt or 19.2 percent year on year; while the country's stainless steel exports totaled 1.497 million mt, down 256,000 mt or 14.6 percent.  

Meanwhile, in the first three quarters, China's apparent stainless steel consumption reached 9.1438 million mt, up 1.0508 million mt or 12.98 percent year on year.
