China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest carbon steel producer in Taiwan is going to release its price policy for March on January 18th.
Market participants forecasted that CSC might raise its list prices for March, driven by the firm's improved order volumes in January and February, rising steel prices international market and higher iron ore prices.
It
's known that the steel prices have rebounded recently, boosted by recovery of global economy and rising raw material prices.
Last week, the iron ore prices have jumped to US$145.5/ton from US$132.75/ton in Mid-December.
Meanwhile, CSC's received order volumes for January and February have rose by 10% from the forecast.
Affected by these factors, it's expected that CSC would hike its steel prices for March.
