It's reported that China pushed up the global steel production in March, 2013.

The global crude steel output totaled 135 million tons in March, was 1.1% higher than March 2012.

Among them, China posted a 6.6% output increase to 66.3 million tons in March.

The high level of overproduction in China has caused the prices and margins under pressure.

Meanwhile, all other major regions posted an output decline, the US contracted by 8.4% to 7.3 million tons and the EU posted a 6.6% dip to 14.6 million tons in March.
