China daily crude steel production hit 1.6891 million tonnes in Mid April

According to statistics from China Iron and Steel Association, China's key steel mills have produced 16.8914 million tonnes of crude steel, 16.5415 million tonnes of pig iron, 16.5076 million tonnes of steel products and 3.7025 million tonnes of coke in the second ten days of April 2013

Compared to the first ten days of April, daily production of crude steel was 1.6891 million tonnes, down 8100 tonnes or 0.48 percent; that of pig iron was 1.6541 million tonnes, up 9000 tonnes or 0.55 percent; that of steel products was 1.6508 million tonnes, up 23,700 tonnes or 1.46 percent; that of coke was 370,300 tonnes, down 700 tonnes or 0.19 percent.

It is estimated that China has produced 21.1579 million tonnes of crude steel, 19.7258 million tonnes of pig iron, 28.8510 million tonnes of steel products and 13.2970 million tonnes of coke in the second ten days of April 2013. Daily production of crude steel was 2.1158 million tonnes, that of pig iron was 1.9726 million tonnes, that of steel products was 2.8851 million tonnes and that of coke was 1.3297 million tonnes.

By April 20, 2013, China has produced 233.9224 million tonnes of crude steel, 217.5513 million tonnes of pig iron, 302.9188 million tonnes of steel products and 141.4862 million tonnes of coke in total. Daily production of crude steel, pig iron, steel products and coke was 2.1266 million tonnes, 1.9777 million tonnes, 2.7538 million tonnes and 1.2862 million tonnes respectively.
