It is reported that China's central government departments planned to stop producing the production of low grade HRB335 rebar. 
Meanwhile, China's Ministry of Industry & Information Technology (MIIT) also plans to ban and eliminate use of HRB335 rebar by end-2013. 
Some of mill sources said that they would not produce HRB335 rebar from May 1st this year because they currently occupied with high level of high grade products. 
Therefore, the Chinese government would definitely phase out HRB335 rebar gradually in near future. 
In the meantime, it would involve many changes to construction standards in order to protect the infrastructure and environment.
Also, the elimination of HRB335 rebar could encourage to improve of outdated steelmaking capacities and to be more competitive for quality of steel making.
