On July 4, Chongqing-based Chinese steelmaker Chongqing Iron and Steel Co. (Chongqing Steel), a subsidiary of Chongqing Iron and Steel (Group) Co., announced that in June this year it produced 446,325 mt of finished steel, up 18.14 percent year on year.
In the January-June period, the overall finished steel output of Chongqing Steel totaled 2,684,364 mt, up 9.4 percent year on year.
