China-based Wuchuan Heavy Engineering Co. has lately inked a contract for the supply of structural steel with a total value of RMB 30 million ($4.89 million) to China Greenland Group Wuhan Branch, with the steel to be used in the Wuhan Greenland Center building construction project in Wuhan in China's Hebei Province.
The building in question will be 606 meters high, the second highest building in China and the third highest in the world. The construction project is expected to require 76,000 mt of structural steel frames. Wuchuan Heavy Engineering will supply 32,000 mt, accounting for 42 percent of the total.
