Reportedly, the Chinese steelmaker Shagang issued its prices for hot rolled coils (HRC) and plates for September.
The company decided to raise its list prices for HRC by RMB50/ton, making its prices for Q235 HRC with sizes of 5.5mm x 1,500mm and 3.0mm x 1,500mm are at RMB3, 750/ton and RMB3, 800/ton respectively.
However, Shagang remained its list prices for medium heavy plates unchanged for September, leading its prices for Q235 medium heavy plates are RMB3,880/ton.
The above prices include 17% VAT and have become effective from September 1st, 2013.
