China steel exports to Latin America jump in 8 months

According to report of the Latin American Steel Association, China's exports of finished steel products to Latin America totaled 3.5 million tonnes in the first eight months of this year, soaring by 27% year on year.

China's finished steel exports made to global market totaled 36.4 million in the given period of time, growing by 20% year on year.

In August alone, Latin America's imports of finished steel products from China totaled 567,000 tonnes, jumping from 343,000 tonnes in the same month of 2012.
