Chinese ferro-silicon makers seek to raise prices on increased electricity fee

It's reported that Chinese ferro-silicon makers have sought to raise the prices after National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) announced to increase electricity fee.

It's known that NDRC's rise in electricity fee have increased the production costs of ferro-silicon makers by RMB250/ton averagely.

Therefore, Chinese ferro-silicon makers have increased the quotes by RMB200~RMB300/ton to in response to surged electricity fee.

At present, the ex-factory prices of 75# and 72# ferro-silicon have soared to RMB6, 500/ton and RMB6, 300/ton respectively
