It's reported that ThyssenKrupp is inviting non-binding offers of purchase by September 28th for its plants in Calvert and Brazil.

Around 10 groups including the steelmakers Ternium SA, Companhia Siderurgica Nacional SA and ArcelorMittal, have shown interest in the sale.

ThyssenKrupp said that it wanted to sell its carbon steel operations in Alabama, US and Brazil in May after a severe loss in H1 this year. The company has already segregated its stainless steel business and renamed it Inoxum, and is planning to sell it to Finnish steel giant Outokumpu Oyi later this year.

According to Valor, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are now starting to distribute information on the two works to interested parties.
