US DOC announces AD margins result on South Korean flat steel

Reportedly, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the final results of its administrative review of the antidumping (AD) order on corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products which made from South Korea.

It has been investigated with seven producers/exporters involved such as Dongbu Steel Co. Ltd.; Dongkuk Industries Co. Ltd.; Haewon MSC Co. Ltd,; Hyundai HYSCO; LG Chem Ltd.; LG Hausys Ltd.; and Union Steel Manufacturing Co. Ltd. The period would effect from August 1, 2010 through July 31, 2011.

The US DOC determined the final dumping margins rate of 0% for Dongkuk, Haewon, LG Chem, LG Hausys, and Union Steel which based on average of the margins for Dongbu and Hyundai HYSCO.

Meanwhile, the current AD deposit rate is 0% for Hyundai HYSCO, 3.66 % for Union Steel and 4.23 % for the remaining companies subject to this final review result.

In the meantime, the DOC expects to finalize the reviewing results by January 2013.
