It's reported that ArcelorMittal Galati has temporarily shut down operations at plate-rolling mill no. 1 (LTG 1) due to insufficient orders and it will be resumed when economic situation allows.According to an official of ArcelorMittal Galati, the company is facing an extreme time of order reduction by global economic downturn together with overcapacity situation, which affects especially the thick plates market. Furthermore, ArcelorMittal is currently studying possible ways to react to the current situation.
