It's reported that Feng Hsin, one of the major steel long product makers in Taiwan announced to remain its list prices of rebar, scrap and section steel unchanged for this week.
After the announcement, the company's latest prices of rebar are at NT$17,200/ton; that of section steel is at NT$19,300~NT$19,500/ton and that of scrap is at NT$9,800~NT$10,500/ton.
It's learned that buyers began to purchase last week. The whole sales volumes of rebar from distributor were about 60,000~70,000 tons, supporting Feng Hsin to remain prices unchanged for this week.
For the prospect, it's expected that rebar prices might rise in the Taiwanese market if scrap prices continue increasing.
