Turkey’s purchasing prices of US scraps rise

Recently, Turkey's purchasing prices of the US scraps have increased.

At present, Turkish steel mills purchased the US HMS 80:20 (1&2) with prices of US$375/ton, rising by US$10~US$15/ton from the previous US$360~US$365/ton C&F.

Also, the US scrap suppliers' quotes to Turkey have reached US$380~US$385/ton C&F.

It's analyzed that the Turkish steelmakers started to purchase for stockpiles ahead of the schedule this year as they worried that the winter may arrive earlier.

Accordingly, it supported the US scrap prices to Turkey to rise recently
