It's reported that US-based Nucor announced to raise its raw material surcharges for rebar, small-and-medium size section steel and structural steel to US$225/ton, increasing by US$52/ton from the surcharges in October 11st, 2012.
However, the company cut the base prices for those products by US$17/ton.
Therefore, the firm's prices for those products rose by US$35/ton. The new prices will become effective from December 1st, 2012.
