Ohio-based AK Steel announced to hike its base prices for 200, 300 and 400 grades flat rolled stainless steel products through a cut in the functional discount of 4 percentage points for cold rolled and hot rolled products.
Meanwhile, the new prices will be effective with shipments on December 30th, 2012.
In addition, the firm will raise the base prices for automotive exhaust grades by US$0.04/lb.
