According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey imported 27,725 tons of stainless steel flat products in this October, up by 0.6% year on year and increasing by 9.1% from a month ago.
In October, the country's import revenues generated by stainless steel flat products were at US$69.35 million, decreasing by 13% year on year while rising by 7.9% from a month earlier.
Among them, 7,904 tons were imported from Taiwan, increasing by 20.2%; that from South Korea was at 2,828 tons, jumping by 56% and that from Germany was at 2,522 tons, falling by 37.8%, all compared to that in the same period of a year ago.
In the first 10 months of this year, Turkey's imports of stainless steel flat products amounted to 299,058 tons, up by 1.5% year on year.
In the given period of time, the country's import revenues of stainless steel flat products were at US$775 million, decreasing by 13.4% year on year.
