Klockner sells Eastern European operations

Reportedly Klöckner & Co, a German metal distributor headquartered in Duisburg, is selling its Eastern European operations as part of its restructuring program.

Sites in Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Romania which make up over two third of European operations were sold for first phase then followed by the rest unit in Poland and Lithuania.

All sales are expected to be completed in first quarter of 2013.

Mr. Gisbert Rhl chairman of Klöckner & Co said the restructuring program moves faster than their expectation, the sales of Eastern European operations will be another milestone.
