Taiwanese Feng Hsin has announced to rise its steel section price in early this week, it is said the company's new price for small steel sections are about NT$20,500~US$20,700/ton (about US$707~US$714/ton) and its price for ASTM A36 round bars that outside diameter under 50 mm are about NT$21,200/ton (about US$731/ton).
Some local users said because it is coming the end of year, most of rebar stockiest try to release their in hand stocks as more as possible; thus, market buyers may not have highly interest for section purchasing at this moment.
Overall, the current market situation caused Taiwan domestic section market sales to remain normal after mill's new price announcement.
