South Africa’s imports of carbon and alloy steel drop in Jan-Oct

According to the data released by the South African Iron and Steel Institute (SAISI), the country's imports of carbon and alloy steel products totaled 78,527 tons in October, slumping by 59.4% from a month ago while rising by 22.3% year on year.

In the first 11 months of this year, South Africa's imports of carbon and alloy steel products amounted to 694,500 tons, falling by 4.3% year on year.
