Nucor to cut $20 for long product prices

According to report, Nucor will follow Gerdau's long steel products price announced last week with price cut for rebars, most merchant bar, structural products and beams by $20/st, starting the second day of May.

The company stated the price will be for the month even the raw material price may change.

Steel Dynamics Inc. (SDI) also announced the price cuts for wide flange beams and channels last week. Other steelmakers including Commercial Metals Co. announced price cut for the week as well.

However, the buyers may expect additional price cuts for the month that will be more close to the real market price.
