Japan’s exports iron and steel increase in April

According to data of the Japanese Ministry of Finance, the country's exports of iron and steel products totaled 3.6 million tons in April, falling by 9.75% from a month ago but rising by 18.1% year on year.

In April, the country's export revenues generated by iron and steel products amounted to ¥319 million, decreasing by 8.3% from a month earlier but increasing by 15.8% year on year.

Among them, the exports of iron and steel products made to the US totaled 213,000 tons, rising by 12.3%; those made to the EU were at 25,000 tons, increasing by 26.2%; those made to China were at 546,000 tons, up by 17.6%, all compared to the same month of 2012.
