According to data, Japan exported 1.019 million tons of hot rolled coils (HRC) in May, rising by 8.2% from a month ago.
Besides, the HRC export prices averaged at US$630.5/ton in May, down by 0.3% month on month.
In May, Korea was the largest importer of the Japanese HRC with 215,873 tons, decreasing by 12.2%; China was the second largest one with 97,313 tons, rising by 16.2%; Taiwan was the third largest one with 37,169 tons, up by 1.8%, all compared to those in a month ago.
