It's reported that Gerdau posted a 3% lower shipments in the second quarter of this year, compared to the second quarter of 2012.
In the given period time, Gerdau's North America operations, excluding Mexico and special steel shipped 1.55 million tons of steel products, decreasing by 3% year on year but rising by 1.9% from a quarter ago.
In the first half of this year, the company's shipments totaled 3.06 million tons, increasing by 8.5% year on year.
