According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), China's crude steel production totaled 65.47 million tons in July, rising by 6.15% year on year.
In July, the daily crude steel output averaged at 2.112 million tons, down slightly by 2.02% from a month ago.
However, according to data released by China Iron and Steel Association, China's daily crude steel output averaged at 2.14 million tons in the first 10 days of August, rising by 8.53%; that in the second 10 days of August was at 2.118 million tons, increasing by 9.72%, both compared to the figures in the same period of a year ago.
Accordingly, it's estimated that China's crude steel output would reach 768 million tons in the whole of 2013.
