According to statistic released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey's steel scrap imports totaled 1.47 million tons in August, falling by 16% from a month ago, due to weak demand in Ramadan.
In August, the US was the largest scrap exporter to Turkey with 369,011 tons, falling from 479,542 tons in July.
Meanwhile, Romania was the second largest one with 163,209 tons and Holland was the third largest one with 143,776 tons.
