According to data released by the national steel chamber (Canacero), Mexico's crude steel production totaled 1.52 million tons in September, falling by 8% from a month ago and down by 1.9% year on year.
Meanwhile, the country's output of finished steel products totaled 1.36 million tons in September, decreasing by 4.1% from a month ago.
In the January-September period, the country's crude steel production amounted to 13.59 million tons, up by 1.2% year on year.
