Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Handan Iron and Steel (Hansteel), a subsidiary of Hebei Iron and Steel Group, has announced that in the first half of the current year it produced 1,402,300 mt of newly-developed steel products, up 74,500 mt year on year.
In the given period, Hansteel's sales of the newly-developed steel products contributed RMB 37,259,300 ($5,895,000) to its net profit. The steelmaker developed production of a total of 11 new steel products in the first half of the year.
