Currently, there are more than 40 active manufacturers of wheat gluten in China, most of which are located in Henan, Hebei, and Shandong, the major wheat production areas in China. Henan Lotus Flower Gourmet Powder Co., Ltd. and Henan Tianguan Group Co., Ltd. play an important role in the market, whose products are mainly for export. Executive summary:
As an important producer of wheat gluten worldwide, China's output of the product has kept climbing in recent years. The country totally produces above XX tonnes of wheat gluten in 2010, and is equipped with a capacity exceeding XXt/a in 2011. Most of the product is exported to Southeast Asia, South America, Australia, Europe and the U.S.
Major producers of wheat gluten, led by Henan Tianguan, are mainly distributed in the key wheat-producing regions such as Henan, Hebei, Shandong and Anhui. Most of the product is XX, and producers are still using the Martin Process.
In addition, China's consumption of wheat gluten has also been growing in recent years. The top two application fields of the product go to XX and XX in 2010. Thanks to an increasing demand from downstream industries such as food, feed and aquatic product, China's total output of wheat gluten will keep its uptrend in the next few years.
