Changes in commodity markets are something you can count on when you are a farm operator. To keep current, you may want to take advantage of an opportunity to get an update on changes in the commodity markets. A special update group meeting for farm producers in the thumb will take place on Tuesday, June 24 from 10 a.m. to Noon at the Michigan State University Extension office located at 37 Austin Street, Sandusky, Michigan. The agenda has Jim Hilker, MSU Commodity Marketing Specialist, leading off the session with an overview of the grain commodities at 10 a.m. followed by Chris Wolf, MSU Dairy Marketing Specialist, at about 10:45 a.m. with an overview of the Dairy markets.
Individuals who are not able to attend the session at the Sandusky location can take part in an online version of a live webinar broadcast. To take advantage of this option you will need to register for the session online. Individuals or groups that would like to participate in this live presentation can register for free. Registered individuals will be sent the necessary log in information for the live broadcast. Following the live session a link to the recorded version of the program will be available to all registrants.
This year’s growing season has the potential for major changes in the commodity markets, which in turn can have a huge impact on your farm’s bottom line. For more information you can contact Dennis Stein at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or by phone at 989-672-3870.
