Vice Minister Yu Xinrong meets Japanese Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries

Vice Minister Yu Xinrong met with Mr. Yuji Yamamoto, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan, in Beijing on the morning of 21 July 2017.

 

Vice Minister Yu conveyed a warm welcome to Mr. Yamamoto. He noted that China highly values agricultural cooperation with Japan, and is willing to work with the country to strengthen comprehensive cooperation in areas such as agricultural trade, fisheries, animal and plant quarantine, and protection of new plant varieties, so as to contribute to the common development of agriculture in both countries and bring benefits to the two peoples.

 

Mr. Yamamoto fully agreed with Vice Minister Yu and said that Japan is looking forward to working with the Chinese side to deepen bilateral agricultural cooperation.
