
China Fisheries & Seafood Expo 2016 (CFSE 2016) kicked off at the Qingdao International Convention Center in Qingdao, China on Nov. 2, 2016.
Vice Minister Yu Kangzhen visited the Expo and attended the Sino-overseas Fishery Dialogue held during the Expo.
CFSE 2016, with an exhibition area of 80,000 m2, comprises three parts, namely, the overseas exhibitions, the domestic exhibitions and the fishery equipment exhibitions. It showcased aquatic products, aquaculture species and related aquaculture and processing technologies and equipment. CFSE 2016 attracted over 1,300 exhibitors from 44 countries and regions. A total of 26 counties set up national pavilions. More than 30,000 professional visitors from over 100 countries and regions visited the Expo and attended related activities. During the Expo, a series of side events were held, including trade promotion events and seminars.
Over 20 years' development, CFSE has grown into the second largest seafood show in the world, which is highly professional and internalized, with extensive application of information technology and other modern exhibition technologies. CFSE has become a comprehensive exchange platform for producers, traders, consumers in fisheries sectors across the world, playing a positive role in promoting international fishery cooperation and global fishery development.
CFSE 2016 is organized by the MOA Agricultural Trade Promotion Center (ATPC), also known as the Specialized Sub-Council of Agriculture of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), in collaboration with the US Sea Fare Expositions Inc.
