Vice Minister Qu Dongyu met with Nusret Yazici, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock of Turkey, in Xi'an on June 2, 2016. The two sides exchanged views on enhancing China-Turkey agricultural cooperation.
Qu spoke highly of China-Turkey agricultural cooperation in recent years. He hoped the bilateral working group could play a better role in strengthening economic ties as well as S&T exchanges, to achieve new progress in bilateral agricultural cooperation. Regarding the issue of Turkish dairy product export to China, Qu noted that China welcomes Turkish dairy products to enter the Chinese market and diversify domestic supply, under the condition that both sides reached consensuses on quarantine risk assessment.
Nusret Yazici agreed with Qu's views and put forward the proposal that the second China-Turkey agricultural cooperation working group meeting be held this year.
