market price of corn seeds was quite stable in April (as of 8 April) in China.

Based on market prices of 2,748 corn seed samples, the average market price of
corn seeds in China was USD4.52/kg (RMB29.21/kg) with a YoY increase of 2.14%.
And the average market price of corn seeds packaged in bags (a bag for 1 mu, 1
ha =15 mu, the same hereinafter) in the Chinese market was USD8.36/bag
(RMB53.99/bag) with a YoY increase of 1.07%.
- In corn planting area in Southwest China
Altogether 746 samples were collected and
the average corn seed price was USD4.41/kg (RMB28.49/kg), down by 0.12% YoY. To
be more specific:
In Guizhou Province: USD5.42/kg
(RMB34.98/kg), same level as in last year
In Sichuan Province: USD4.22/kg
(RMB27.26/kg), same level as in last year
In Yunnan Province: USD4.21/kg
(RMB27.15/kg), same level as in last year
In Chongqing Municipality: USD4.98/kg
(RMB32.15/kg), same level as in last year
In Hubei Province: USD3.89/kg
(RMB25.09/kg), same level as in last year

Altogether 736 samples were collected and
the average corn seed price was USD4.86/kg (RMB31.37/kg) with a YoY increase of
2.99%. To be more specific:
In Jilin Province: USD4.37/kg
(RMB28.22/kg), up by 5.83% YoY
In Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region:
USD4.89/kg (RMB31.58/kg), up by 4.73% YoY
In Heilongjiang Province: USD5.26/kg
(RMB33.95/kg), same level as in last year
In Liaoning Province: USD3.65/kg
(RMB23.55/kg), same level as in last year
The average market price of corn seeds packaged in bags was USD8.36/bag
(RMB53.99/bag) with a YoY increase of 1.07%. To be more specific:

level as in last year and up by 3.46% MoM
Liangyu99: USD11.12/bag (RMB71.81/bag), up
by 5.29% YoY and up by 1.03% MoM

Altogether 750 samples were collected and
the average market price of corn seeds was USD3.43/kg (RMB22.14/kg) with a YoY
increase of 1.65%; the average market price of corn seeds packaged in bags was
USD8.15/bag (RMB52.63/bag) with a YoY increase of 1.26%. To be more specific:
In Anhui Province: USD4.61/kg (RMB29.75/kg)
and USD9.01/bag (RMB58.18/bag), same level as in last year
In Hebei Province: USD3.13/kg (RMB20.20/kg)
