Vice Minister Qu Dongyu meets Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland

Vice Minister Qu Dongyu met with Krzysztof Jurgiel, the visiting Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland, in Beijing on May 3, 2016. The two sides exchanged views on enhancing China-Poland pragmatic agricultural cooperation and other issues of mutual interests.
Qu noted that China and Poland have enjoyed traditional friendship and developed steady and close agricultural cooperation. The two sides have built a sound foundation in agricultural S&T, trade and veterinary service collaboration, among others. To further intensify bilateral cooperation, Qu made a three-point proposal: first, expand cooperation areas under the China-Poland Agricultural Science and Technology Promotion Center, conduct in-depth discussions on agro-product quality and safety, agricultural environment protection, plant protection, and so on; second, make good use of the China-CEE Agro-trade & Economic Cooperation Forum, the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and CEECs and other multilateral mechanisms, in an effort to enrich agricultural trade and economic cooperation for greater achievements; third, further promote China-Poland agricultural trade through the platform of the China International Agricultural Trade Fair.
Krzysztof Jurgiel fully agreed with Qu on his proposal and expressed his willingness to attend the 11th China-CEE Agro-trade & Economic Cooperation Forum and other relevant activities in Kunming in November of 2016, and promote the bilateral agricultural cooperation to a new high.
