Pre-festive buying holds methionine market firm in China
Prices of methionine were stable to higher during the week ending April 25.
Demand for livestock products strengthened lately due to the preparation of May Day, hence helping to lift the sales of feed and subsequently methionine.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine were in the range of RMB28.50-30/kg.
Demand for methionine should remain stable in the period leading to May Day as buyers stock inventories.
