Vice Minister Qu Dongyu meets Danish Minister for Environment and Food

Vice Minister Qu Dongyu met Ms. Eva Kjer Hansen, Minister for Environment and Food of Denmark,in Beijing on Nov. 13, 2015. The two sides had an in-depth discussion on furthering China-Denmark agricultural cooperation.
Vice Minister Qu spoke highly of China-Denmark cooperation in agriculture. He stressed that the two states are highly complementary to each other in agriculture and enjoy great potential for cooperation. Hence, it is in the common interests of both sides to enhance agricultural cooperation.China stands ready to further practical cooperation with Denmark in livestock production, agro-product quality and safety and dairy industry.
With regard to China-Denmark Demonstration Pig Farm, Vice Minister Qu emphasized that the project should be carried out with high level design and implementation and high efficiency of operation, serving as an important platform and channel for pig farming exchange and cooperation between China and Denmark.
Ms. Hansen fully agreed with Vice Minister Qu on his comments and expressed her willingness to jointly advance the agricultural development of both countries. The two sides also exchanged views on cooperation in various fields, particularly in agricultural policies and animal health.
